Food coloring can get expensive using alot of it for fun projects unless you can find it at the Dollar Store and that is hit or miss.
So I have tried using Kool-Aid in place of food coloring for some things and it worked great. Not only did it work but smelled good.
Below are some of the fun we have had with Kool-Aid.
Also, kool-aid is $.20 cheap and if you get the non kool-aid brand it is $.12-.15. What better way to have fun then to add alittle scent to your play.
1. You can make Kool-Aid play dough
Note you can mix kool-aid in with store bought play-doh as well for a fun smell
2. You can make Kool-Aid rice
3. Kool-Aid spray painting
4. You can make Kool-Aid glue
5. You can make Kool-Aid lava for the volcano's.....makes the vinegar smell alittle better.
Don't have a post for this but we use this for the lava when we do volcano's with baking soda
6. Make scented sand using salt and Kool-Aid and a teaspoon of water
7. Scented kool-aid paints
8. Color pasta
9. Kool-Aid bath paints
10. Kool-Aid slime
11. Kool-Aid tea party
12. Kool-Aid Yogurt finger painting
13. Rainbow cupcakes

14. Dyed Eggs
We did this at Easter and all you have to do is add water and alittle vinegar to the kool-aid and it dyed the eggs. The eggs dyed just like they do with food coloring and pretty colors.
15. Scented bubbles
